Twilight of the Idols - Art and Artificial Intelligence
Every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end. - Seneca The hypermodern shift in artists' attention to the machine process, which reduces the artistic act to the averaging of data structures, has been completed. Man has entered into a new, epochal relationship with the machine. The contributors to this volume show that art is simultaneously growing more and more into the everyday life of the political and social space and creating a new relationship between man and machine in the aesthetic context. "Twilight of the Idols" was the start of a series of exhibitions at the Haus der Kunst in Munich and is now its documentation, reflection and continuation.
